Guarnaschelli was a competitor against Cat Cora on Food Network's Iron Chef America 2007 Farmers Market Battle. She is now an Iron Chef America judge. She was also a contestant on The Next Iron Chef in season 4 in 2011. She also competed in the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode and lost the event. She was promoted to sous-chef in the kitchen of Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the 4th season of The Next Iron Chef. She joined The Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008, and she teaches a small group of students on how to recreate classic dishes.
